We are busy preparing for the commemoration of the 1916 Rising. As always we are busy preparing songs. This week we learnt the song Grace, made famous by Jim Mc Cann.
Grace Gilford married Joseph Plunkett in Kilmainham Gaol before he was executed for his part in the rising. She never remarried, and wore mourning clothes for the rest of her life. Joseph was the youngest of the seven signatories of the Proclamation.
The Children have been busy working on some art working based on 1916.
