Christmas Play

The Christmas Play will take place on Thursday, December 17th at 11.15 am.

The play will be held in Jessica's room, which is located in the prefab next to the main door.

Please note that: Only two can attend the play for each child like last year.

The children have been practicing hard all week! We hope to see you there.

Santa Hats

It would be great if all children could wear a Santa hat for the Christmas Assembly. No need to wear specific clothing.

Children who have character roles, I will clarify on Tuesday as to your costume as there is still some parts to finalise.

Many Thanks.

Science Week

November 9th - 13th is Science Week.

One of the challenges we were set this week was to construct a tower using only  raw spaghetti and marshmallows. Easy you might say....

Well you guessed it, there was a catch. Our tower had to be strong enough to hold an egg for 15 seconds. We had a lot of fun working in teams to try and build our towers.  One group managed to meet the challenge.

The winning design! Well done guys!

 Full of concentration!

We also had some wonderful crazy scientist outfits:

Some of our scientist's really do look the part! Well done to all who made an effort to dress up!

Congratulations to our overall winner !!
Overall Best Dressed Scientist in Belmayne ET.

The Children really enjoyed all the activities during science week. A huge thanks to Aiveen for planning and organising all the events.

Food Dudes

We have been doing our best to eat lots of fruit and vegetables these past two weeks. Food Dudes is a healthy eating programme ran in partnership with Bord Bia.  The Life Force are strong in room 7.

By eating lots of fruit and vegetables we will get lots of nutrients for our bodies.

 Thumbs Up for Food Dudes!!

We also integrated our maths lesson on DATA into our food dudes programme! We made a bar chart using everyone's favourite fruit and Vegetables. We did this by using Sticky Notes. We all enjoyed this activity.
It's official : Our favourite fruit are apples.

More information on the food dudes programme can be found on their website : http://www.fooddudes.ie/html/parents_what.html
